Victorian State Pennant commenced Saturday 4th October 2003
2003 will see the three Victorian
clubs playing a State Inter-Club Pennant. What started as an idea
from Tim Graham, has everyone looking forward to playing interclub
competition with more energy than ever before. Having a state
league competition ladder has made the difference. There will be
three teams from Romsey, three teams from Royal Melbourne and six teams
from Ballarat. The teams from the three clubs are on the Pennant
Ladder.

CW2 defeated CW1 in
a close contest. Phillip Morris lost the first singles to Doug
Grant, but played awesome steady tennis to win the second singles off
owe 40 rec 30. Three of the four singles matches were all decided by one game
with Andrew Hall having points to square it at two matches all,
however in the dead doubles rubber, the experienced team of Phillip
and Craig Jamieson powered ahead. |
